Artist Bio – Ginger Boller
Ginger Boller is a watercolor artist based in Wichita Falls, Texas, whose work explores the intersection of art, preservation, and mental wellness. She holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a bachelor’s degree in art from Midwestern State University. Her current focus is on architectural watercolors that document and celebrate historical homes in her hometown.
Ginger blends her background in psychology with her studio practice, offering both therapeutic art sessions and traditional classes. She works with individuals, organizations, and museums to promote creativity, communication, and emotional well-being. Her classes, residencies, and workshops help participants slow down, connect with their surroundings, and develop visual literacy.
She continues to work with the Museum of Texas Tech University, training teaching artists to design and lead arts engagement programs throughout Lubbock and the museum’s broader community. She is also collaborating with two fellow teaching artists to create a curriculum that can be used by institutions around the country to train the next generation of teaching artists.
Ginger has taken part in specialized training through the Lincoln Center’s Teaching Artist program and was selected for the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture’s Artist Development Program. Her work as a teaching artist has included a year-long residency at Presbyterian Manor in Wichita Falls and ongoing classes for senior adults. Her most recent residencies in Washington, D.C. and Boston, focused on art viewing as a therapeutic practice, with visits to multiple museums and landmarks to explore how mindful observation can support mental health.
